Master Tuohy, 7th Degree, Tecumseh TKD President

Our current club President, Master Tuohy started martial arts in 1977 in Wado-Ryu Karate. He moved to Canada in 1981 and began training in Taekwon-Do in 1986. He joined Tecumseh TKD in 1987, attaining his 1st degree black belt in 1993. He was one of the founding members of Chinook Taekwon-Do, along with Master Moretti in 1994. Together they ran the University of Calgary/Chinook Taekwon-Do club until amalgamating with Tecumseh in 2005. Master Tuohy also studied Jiu Jitsu for 3 years reaching the level of brown belt.

Master Tuohy attained his 7th degree black belt (Master Level) at an IIC in Denver Colorado in June 2022. The test was conducted by Grand Master Marano , GM Lan , GM Laquerre, GM Weiler (ITF President) and GM Norman (ITF Senior Vice President and CTFI President)
